This is the ideal CPR refresher course, covering CPR technique and use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training device through learning material, practical exercises and assessment. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

**Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor. **

One day, face to face for 4 hours (9am to 1.00pm).

This course will provide you with life – saving skills and knowledge required to manage a non- breathing unconscious casualty, following a cardiac arrest.

  • Respond in an emergency situation.
  • Perform CPR procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident Assessment
  • Use of an automatic external defibrillator.
Participants should have numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to level 2 of the National Reporting System.

Progressive assessment throughout the course, including demonstration of practical skills and written and oral questions relating to underpinning knowledge.

Participants who successfully complete the course will be issued with the nationally recognized statement of attainment for HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).

The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 12 months.
